How does it work?
For every skein of yarn that we sell, $5 will be directly donated to the charity of focus, currently MSF / Haiti and WFP.
Each spinner sets their own price on the yarn, ensuring that they are adequately compensated for their work.
Donations raised will be distributed to our chosen charities by HH. We will update on a quarterly basis how much has been raised for each organization, through sales on the website, shows and via our fundraising page.
As of June 30, 2010, we have raised $152.00 for Doctors Without Borders. |

HUMANITY HANDSPUN is a collective of spinners who want to make a difference. It is an idea born of the tragic earthquake that struck Haiti in January of 2010.
Our purpose is to help raise badly needed funds to assist in the immediate and ongoing medical needs of the people of Haiti as well as other broad human tragedies such as Darfur in Sudan, the Tsunami in South East Asia and the flooding of New Orleans. Funds raised will be donated to the situation of most immediate need. |
